The house was built in 1995 using traditional Canarian techniques from hand-made blue basalt and enjoys the excellent features of this historic building material, whose 60 cm thick walls and high, Canarian wooden roof chairs keep the house at a comfortable temperature.
You enter the house via a roofed terrace and reach, as usual here, the cooking area of the large kitchen-living room. For example, the walk with the coffee cup or lunch to the beautifully shady or sunny terrace (depending on what you have chosen) is particularly short. The kitchen-living room gives a Canary Island feel-good atmosphere and has been furnished for the few days you eventually may need a heating system with a basic oven from a German stove builder. It only needs to be fed with wood once a day and heats the whole house.
From the kitchen-living room you enter a slightly separated study, which (with doors provided) could also be used as a second bedroom.
From there, you enter the cosy bedroom through a glazed double door and the daylight bath with corner bathtub and shower as well as an outdoor exit.
Special importance was attached to the very good building quality and easy-care construction, so the maintenance-free natural stone façade and the aluminium windows are recommended by themselves. The garden has also been designed to be easily maintained so that you can enjoy your leisure time to the fullest. In the garden, many paths and terraces have been covered with natural stone tiles; the lovely design with cacti, large palm trees and a small lawn and a particularly quiet viewpoint delights the soul and affords a view of the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean.
Guests can use an enclosed caravan with a covered terrace and a separate bathroom, while two cars find their shady place in a carport. A technical room and a storeroom for garden tools are shooting.
If you would like to party with guests, you will find a refuge for up to eight guests in the separate bodega built into the mountain. Built in a classic vaulted manner entirely of natural stone, it reflects the tradition of Canarian wine culture and it also houses a sauna, an outdoor kitchen and a separate guest bathroom.
The finca is of course connected to the public electricity, city water and telephone network, European TV and ADSL are available via satellite. Access is via an asphalted, public side road.
