The property is situated on the edge of the quiet and very popular village Las Tricias with breathtaking sea and mountain views as well as views of the village. It consists of a two-storey, old Canarian building, a separate, fully-fledged guesthouse, a so-called "bodega" (separate house with a spacious kitchen-cum-living-room and a small adjoining room for dishwasher and refrigerator), pool and other outbuildings. The main house (117 m² of floor space) contains the very cosy owner's apartment on the upper floor with a large terrace facing the sea, a very bright dining kitchen, an authentically restored living room with a classic Canarian whale-roof made of visible teahood, a bedroom with an electrically operated skylight and a bath tub "en suite". Due to its construction of approx. 60 cm thick exterior walls made of hand-hewn blue basalt, the house is particularly well air-conditioned, especially since the roof trusses have been newly covered and thermally insulated. In the basement there are two bedrooms with separate entrances for family guests. The main house is complemented by a small outbuilding (14 m² floor space) which contains a separate bathroom for the guests, a utility room with two washing machines and a storeroom. A separate terrace is available for family guests in the basement.
The separate guesthouse (83.7 m²) with entrance to the "Plaza" is accessed through a small entrance area with two symmetrical arches leading to the kitchen and the living room on the other side. The two bedrooms and the bathroom are accessible via a very bright, winter garden-like but completely shaded room with a wonderful view which is used as a study (if one can work with the beautiful view of the sea). The guest house has a further small building (16.6 m² of floor space) under the pool terrace, a utility room, the technical room for the pool and a separate room that can be used as a study and a garage (16.7 m² of floor space), which serves as a workshop.
The bodega is a separate house (32.4 m²) built in Canarian style with a traditional kitchen, dominated by a very large charcoal grill with a fume hood, an oriel window and a half open-plan fridge and dishwasher. It is also located in the central plaza and serves as a meeting point for parties or as the main dining room, where you can leave all the nines behind, after a meal and from where you can get into the living rooms without any annoying smells.
The very large property (9,335 m²) is partly terraced and planted with orange and avocado trees. It also contains the classic garden for growing vegetables, partly with raised beds, as well as a valley with almond trees, which is not currently cultivated and a wonderful panoramic terrace from which you can enjoy the view over "your" property, the forest, the mountains and above all the Atlantic Ocean. There is also a wooden shed for the firewood and sufficient parking space.
The buildings can be heated with wood-burning stoves.
The property is of course connected to the public electricity, water and telephone network and has an internet connection. The own water tank (Aljibe) of 16 m² area is fed by rented stock water (currently 3 litres/minute) and is used for garden irrigation. The property is accessible by a public, well paved road.
