This very authentic and hand-craftedly restored old Canarian finca is located just off the center of Puntagorda in a very quiet location with fantastic sea views. The typical canarian, two-storey mansion was built in a classical construction from hand-hewn basalt - a building material that has no equal since today and is ideally suited to our climate: the 60-cm-thick natural stone walls store the heat of the day and leave it at night to the interior. If it gets too hot in the summer, they work the other way and keep the house cool. The current owner renovated the building from scratch and added a winter garden on both floors. This resulted in a cozy and generous dwelling-house, which also perfectly meets today's living requirements.
On the ground floor dominates the very generous winter garden, partly with a Canarian roof and partly with a glass roof. Thus a bright and pleasantly tempered large living room was generated with view of the sea and the sunset all year round and at the same time contributes to the temperature control of the house. There is also a kitchen with a dining area and a canarian visible roof truss. In the cooking area easy-care tiles were laid, and a sturdy hardwood floor made of Morera hardwood in the dining area. The adjoining living room gives an unobstructed view of the Atlantic and radiates authentic comfort with its floorboard and its original Teaholz roof truss.
Also in the adjoining bedroom dominates old and new wood and the view of the sea. Even from the bathtub of the stylishly designed bathroom you can enjoy the sea view. A small corridor connects the rooms.
The ground floor is also accessed by a conservatory facing the west and let the guest bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor be a fully-fledged guest area with a fantastic view of the sea. Also with lots of natural wood and the preservation of the Canarian construction elements the charm units our classical lifestyle with modern living arrangements.
A separate guest house is available to friends and relatives and will be used extensively in this magnificent finca. It houses a eat-in kitschen, a bedroom and a bathroom. The two buildings are connected by a patio with external kitchen for the join of celebrations with your visit.
The approx. 1.800 m² garden is designed with large trees, many ornamental plants and natural stone walls, very lovingly designed and always offers very nice places to stay and enjoy the different views.
The houses are, of course, connected to the public electricity and telephone network, Internet connection would be possible without problems. The water supply is provided by a rented gallery water, domestic water heating is done by solar. The finca is accessed via a well paved side road.
